Solarstone was founded in 2018 with the simple goal of developing smarter energy projects.
Our development platform is composed of utility-scale generation and storage projects in the United States. We are developing projects in over a dozen states in both regulated and deregulated markets.
We deploy our own capital to projects and partner with asset owners and capital providers for project sales, financings, and long term ownership in order to deliver the best development outcomes.

Dan Cook

In 2018 Dan founded Solarstone. He is a graduate of Oberlin College and holds a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from Cleveland State University. He began his career as a commodities trade advisor in energy and metals at Blackhawk resources in Cleveland, OH. He is responsible for Solarstone’s overall strategy and execution, and brings over 5 years of greenfield development experience across 4 GW of projects and 1 GW of PPAs.
Connor Young
Development Manager

Connor started his development career at Open Doors Management serving the renewables industry in land leasing and acquisitions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Iowa and leads project development across multiple markets. Since joining Solarstone he has greenfielded over 2 GW of projects and supports landowner relations, permitting, offtake and power marketing, and project finance, having successfully facilitated hundreds of MWs of PPAs and tolling agreements.

Mattan brings a track record of building companies from the ground up and deploying capital across different industries and continents. As the Business Development Manager at Israel Broadband Company (IBC), he structured and closed a landmark $120M allowing IBC to become a nationwide fiber infrastructure company. He led M&A at Gnrgy, a leading EV infrastructure company across Israel and Europe, and was the founder of LAAVIN, a consumer brand company where he recently achieved a successful exit.
